On August 9th, a team of 4 PENNCREST employees in the technology department went to Maplewood High School to restructure a computer lab. The computers and student workstations were being located according to the teacher's request. The request required that power and network drops be made as well as relocated from previous locations. Working with other members, we pulled network cables from old drops and placed them in the correct drop poles as well as created jacks for Ethernet plug ports. The lab required two new network cables to be run from a patch panel to Ethernet jacks. I personally spliced the Cat 5E wiring and placed them in the correct spots in the patch panel, ran the wiring to the correct drop pole, connected an Ethernet jack by splicing the wiring again, tested the connection and labeled the connection on the panel and dropped Ethernet jack box.
