Whew....how could this tool be used in an educational setting. Possibilities are many. This was my first dance inside Glogster. I created an account awhile ago and upgraded to the edu version, but never got to digging inside this tool. I learned a lot. This is a spot where a teacher could post resources, lessons, communicate with students and parents, give assignments, add students, create new glogs for each week or entirely run their class from this tool. That would entail a 1 to 1 school, however others have made it work without being 1 to 1.
As for student use, each student could use this as their digital portfolio. All of their projects they've created or accomplished could be stored here. Videos can be embedded, podcasts stored, literature stored, etc. Student use could also be social as well as educational. Students and teachers could create new Glogs for particular assignments. Teachers adding students to a Glog for directives and students following the work assignment and posting their work to their own Glog. Teacher, with administrative rights can monitor and assess their work from these Glogs. Pretty cool tool with lots of flare as well!
