• Only use a video clip that will ENHANCE your project significantly.
    • Only use a limited amount of a video clip (10-15 seconds MAX)
  • Find the video clip on YouTube.com
    • Highlight and copy the URL (web address)
  • Go to KeepVid
    • Paste the URL into the bar at the top and click "Download" to the right of where you pasted the URL.
    • Your computer MAY ask if you will "Permit an Applet" to access your computer - Click "Allow"
    • Your options to download will appear as a green link toward the bottom
      • Click on "Download MP4"
        • Your computer will ask you if you want to "Open" or "Save" the file
          • Click "Save"
        • Your computer will begin to download the video in a separate "Downloads Box"
        • After it's finished downloading, right click on the icon (Control-Click)
          • Select "Open in Finder"
          • Drag the video from the Finder to your desktop
  • Now that your movie is on the desktop, we now need to import it into iMovie
    • Open iMovie
    • Click on "File" drop down to "Import" and then click on "Movies"
    • Your computer will ask you to select the file you'd like to import
      • Select the file (it's on your desktop)
      • Identify/Name the event
      • Click "Import"
    • iMovie will process/import the movie and place it in your Event Library
    • You can then select (by clicking and highlighting in yellow) the portion of the video clip you want to put in your project, then drag it up and insert it in your project.
